Required tools
Fixing screw: 1 hexagonal M3x8 DIN 912
Battery compartment screw: 1 Torx M1.6
Coin cell battery: 1 CR1632
The battery is designed to last more than 2 years under normal use (~500 hours of use at normal temperatures >10ºC and <30ºC).
Steps to replace the coin cell battery
Remove the TRIO from the handlebar (follow torque instructions when reinstalling).
Remove the rubber protection.
Unscrew the battery compartment screw.
Open the battery compartment (avoid using tools that may damage the housing). ⚠️ Warning: ensure that the O-ring is placed in the battery compartment before reassembly to guarantee sealing.
Insert the new coin cell battery and reassemble. ⚠️ Warning: carefully follow the installation instructions and ensure that the tightening force of the fixing screw is within the defined limits. Avoid damage. Note: If the TRIO was already paired with a Head Unit+, changing the coin cell battery does not affect this pairing and everything should work again once reassembled.
Screw maintenance
It is important to frequently check the tightening torques of the system screws:
Battery mounting to the frame
Motor fixing screws
Crank tightening
Tightening torque of the control unit and remote screws
Tightening torque of the speed sensor holder
